PITTSBURGH – Duquesne women’s basketball head coach Dan Burt announced that Natalija Sekulovska (Veles, North Macedonia/J. Addison Prep) has signed a National Letter of Intent to join the Dukes.
Sekulovska, a 6-1 guard, will enroll at Duquesne and suit up for the Dukes for the 2021-22 season.
“Natalija is an athletic guard whose best basketball is in transition. Fast, quick, and explosive, her offensive game will garner a lot of attention. Natalija will be effective on the defensive end as she plays with good instincts. Natalija has a tremendous upside and we look forward to maximizing Natalija’s abilities during her career at Duquesne.
Sekulovska averaged 9.3 points, 5.8 rebounds and 1.8 assists per game at the 2021 FIBA U20 Women’s European Challangers Tournament as a member of the North Macedonia National Team this past July.
She also competed for North Macedonia in the 2019 FIBA u18B Women’s European Championship. She posted 20 points, seven rebounds and four assists in a win over Kosovo in the group stage of the event.
Sekulovska spent the 2019-20 high school season at the J. Addison School in Markham, Ontario, but did not participate in any games due to the Canadian Goverment’s COVID-19 protocols.
