RIO GRANDE VALLEY – There are currently at least 15 players who previously played for the UTRGV men’s basketball team actively playing professional basketball. Here is an update on home some of them are doing, courtesy of Eurobasket:
Terry Winn III (2017-19) scored 13 points with 18 rebounds and Lew Stallworth (2015-18) scored 15 points with five rebounds and three assists as Musel Pikes fell to Heffingen 82-66 on the road to open the Luxembourg LBBL season.
In his season debut, Janari Joesaar (2014-15) scored nine points with seven rebounds and two blocks as medi Bayreuth fell to the 46ers 86-74 on the road in Germany.
Luis Valera (2008-10) scored seven points with six rebounds to lead Lujisa Guadalajara Basket past Socuellamos in the Spanish EBA (fourth division) on Saturday. Valera is averaging 12.0 points and 8.0 rebounds per game.

Brian Burrell (2006-08) played for Team Toronto in the Eurobasket S. League last season
Johnny Crnogorac (2017-19) plays for Albury Wodonga Bandits in the Australian NBL1 South
Isaiah Fontaine (2018-20) plays for Atleticos de San German in Puerto Rican BSN
Shaquille Hines (2012-16) played for DEAC in Hungarian A Division last season
Jordan Jackson (2017-20) signed with Ginásio C.F. Basketball in Portugal’s Proliga
Xavier McDaniel Jr. (2016-18) played for Seattle Mountaineers in the ABA last season
Perry Petty (2010-11) plays for Gorgan in the Iranian Superleague
Tyson Smith (2018-19) played for Orbi in Georgian A League last season
Paull Stoll (2006-08) plays for Fuerza Regia de Monterrey of the Liga Nacional de Baloncesto Profesional
Lauri Toivonen (2011-14) played for Nokia in Finnish Korisliiga last season
Lesley Varner Jr. (2016-20) signed with UBSC Raiffeisen Graz in the Austrian BSL
