PHILADELPHIA – With the opening tip of the 2021-22 season just 50 days away, season tickets for the La Salle men’s basketball team are officially available for purchase.
The non-conference season is highlighted by the clash between La Salle and Villanova, with the Explorers hosting the matchup at the Palestra on Sunday, Nov. 28.
Fans will have 16 opportunities to catch the Explorers in action inside Tom Gola Arena at TruMark Financial Center, with seven scheduled home non-conference games at the venue. La Salle opens with three of its first four opportunities on 20th and Olney, bringing Sacred Heart, Albany and Army into the arena.
The Explorers fight for city bragging rights on three separate occasions on home soil, taking on Penn (Dec. 11) and Drexel (Dec. 21) in the non-conference portion before hosting St. Joseph’s on the second of two meetings between the sides on March 2.
La Salle comes off an unusual season in the college basketball landscape in 2020-21 due to the pandemic but were able to make Gola a fortress, finishing 6-3 at home. Marquee wins were captured throughout the campaign, including a home win over Saint Louis and road wins against Richmond and then-reigning A10 Champions Dayton. The Explorers return their top two scorers in Jack Clark (9.9ppg) and Sherif Kenney (9.6ppg).
