UTEP Men’s, Women’s basketball tickets now on sale – El Paso Herald Post – El Paso Herald-Post

Officials with UTEP announced Wednesday that single-game tickets for both men’s and women’s basketball were officially on sale. Prices start at $8 for women’s basketball and $10 for men’s basketball depending on the game.

The UTEP men’s basketball team will play 17 games at home in 2021-22, including nine Conference USA match-ups. Some marquee contests include NM State (Dec. 3), the Weststar Don Haskins Invitational (Dec. 21-22), UAB (Feb. 26) and Rice (March 3).

It is the first year for the Miners under head coach Joe Golding, who is already appreciative of the fans.

“I can’t thank our fans enough for your investment in buying tickets for this upcoming season,” Golding said. “The fans have an important role as we continue our goal of getting this program back competing for championships. It’s time to bring the passion and energy back to The Don. Go Miners!”

Tickets for the Weststar Don Haskins Invitational are offered in a four-game, two-night package as well as a two-game, one-night option. The four-game package is offered to the general public at $25 and $45  (price based on seat location) while UTEP students and active military with an ID can purchase for $10. UTEP students can purchase an additional guest ticket at the same price and military members can purchase up to four tickets at the discounted rate. The general public ticket price for the two-game, one-night package is either $13 or $24 and UTEP students and active military with an ID are able to purchase for $6.

The UTEP women’s basketball team will play 16 contests (one exhibition) inside the Don Haskins Center. Some notable home match-ups include NM State (Nov. 17), Air Force (Dec. 21), Middle Tennessee (Jan. 1) and Rice (Feb. 5). After becoming the first coach in program history to post three winning seasons over their first four years, head coach Kevin Baker knows the importance of ticket sales.

“As we are nearing the first tip-off of the season, ticket sales are the most important way to support our team,” Baker said. “Buying a ticket, wearing orange, and being loud are always the best way to contribute to the success of our basketball program. We need our fans in the stands. We will put a very exciting team on the floor and they will be fun to watch. This is going to be another great season.”

In addition to the new-look Miners on the men’s side, and the women’s team is looking to build upon its 17-win season from a year ago, fans can look forward to seeing the new Don Haskins Center court in person.

Fans looking for the best value are encouraged to purchase season tickets. Groups of 10 or more can also save from the single-game ticket price.
