Bronx, N.Y. – The Kyle Neptune era is about to start for the Fordham men’s basketball program so let us meet the 2021-2022 team.
Today, let’s meet another one of the nine new faces on the 2021-2022 roster, junior Antonio Daye, Jr.
Daye is a transfer from Florida International where he was one of the top freshmen guards in Conference USA in 2018-2019. As a sophomore, he started 31 games for the Panthers, averaging 10.6 ppg, while last season he averaged a team-best 17.1 ppg and dished out 103 assists in 22 contests.
Prior to FIU, Daye averaged 25.4 points, 6.0 assists, and 5.0 rebounds-per-game for Fort Lauderdale High School in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, in 2017-2018. He was named to the Florida Association of Basketball Coaches/Source Hoops Boys Basketball Class 8A All-State Team as a third team selection.
